Meltable Solids

As babies transition from purees to table foods, meltable solids help to advance oral-motor skills and strengthen fine motor skills. Give your baby meltable solids once they are crawling. Add them to a meal or snack, alongside a soft table food or puree. Allow baby to self-feed.

Here are my TOP PICKS for MELTABLE SOLIDS:

  1. Baby Bellies Organic Sweetcorn Round-a-bouts. Love the shape. Love the ingredients. This brand also makes a variety of fruit and veggie flavors that are awesome!

  2. Earth’s Best Organic Peanut Butter Puffs. These are a great texture, add a lot of flavor, and include protein and fat!

  3. Happy Baby Puffs. Great size for work on the pincer grasp and for learning to move the tongue in the mouth! This brand also makes a variety of flavors.

  4. Baby Mum Mum. A long time favorite of mine. The disc shape is easy to hold, and will encourage your baby to work on biting. The texture easily melts in your mouth. You can add spreads to the top or use in a dip for additional calories and flavor.

  5. Sprout Curlz. These come in a nice size and shape. I will often break them into small pieces to start, then gradually move to full pieces as baby’s mouth skills develop.

Happy Feeding!
